The European Markets Infrastructure Regulation, or EMIR for short, has been keeping Corporate Treasury busy for many years. The regulation was published in 2012 and implemented in Germany in 2013. Since then, it has been repeatedly amended and changes implemented. The latest amendments were published in the European Official Journal in December last year under the heading EMIR 3.0. The regulation has been in force since 24 December 2024, and the deadline for draft regulatory technical standards to be submitted to the European Commission is 25 December 2025. In this podcast episode, you can find out what the latest changes mean for corporates, how companies are dealing with them and what is still in the pipeline from a regulatory perspective.
