The VDT Summerschool Treasury® 2023 has started!!!

VDT is looking for exciting and innovative projects that have been or will be completed in the treasury sector in 2023.

Intra-group payments are exempt from the reporting obligation to avoid VAT fraud.

Companies' climate risks have consequences for their credit standards and conditions, as the latest ECB Bank Lending Survey shows for the first time. "Green" companies benefit noticeably.

De-risking, defined contribution plans and reporting: these are the topics on which the Asset Management division intends to focus in the second half of the year.

BaFin has announced its sustainable finance strategy. These are the key areas on which the financial supervisory authority intends to focus in future.

ESMA has published a statement on sustainability disclosures. This clarifies which ESG information issuers must include in their prospectuses in future.

Like many other areas, treasury is also facing the challenge of a shortage of skilled labour. Although some functions are supported by digitalisation, there is still a need for qualified specialists.

The VDT has set up the API working group to work towards the standardisation of "Banking APIs for corporate treasurers". The aim is to create efficient cross-bank solutions.

The meeting focussed on the draft legislation on PSD3/PSR and the digital euro, which was received at the end of June, as well as the regulatory framework for instant payments.

The face-to-face event organised by the Asset Management and Cash & Liquidity departments provided numerous insights into the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow. The focus was on interest rates and inflation, artificial intelligence in liquidity planning and digital currencies in treasury.
