Success in treasury is based on comprehensive knowledge and professional expertise. We offer a wide range of training opportunities: from the VDT Basisqualifizierung Treasury® qualification through to the postgraduate Certified Corporate Treasurer VDT® programme and specialised seminars.

Through our mentoring programme, we support young professionals on their career path. In addition, the VDT Summerschool Treasury® offers students the opportunity to gain an insight into day-to-day treasury operations and to acquire a basic understanding of financial management, cash and liquidity management, and risk management.

To ensure the high quality of our programmes, we work closely with academic institutions and also maintain close partnerships with experts from the field – by treasurers, for treasurers.

The course offers comprehensive and practical basic training in treasury management. The content is compiled by practitioners from the Professional Profil & Qualification department and covers all key basic functions in treasury management, as well as the organisation of the associated activities.

The Certified Corporate Treasurer VDT® postgraduate programme offers comprehensive and practical training in treasury and has been part of the association’s training programme since 2005. The course content has been compiled by experienced treasurers and professors from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, and is regularly updated.

Through our mentoring programme, we support young professionals who wish to develop both professionally and personally and to expand their network beyond their own company.

The programme offers the opportunity to benefit from the experience of seasoned treasury colleagues. It promotes the exchange of specialist knowledge, best practice and personal insights, and supports individual development and career progression.

For students

VDT Treasury® Summer School

As part of the VDT Treasury® Summer School, students on Bachelor’s degree programmes with a focus on economics are taught the core functions of corporate treasury through a practical approach.

Over the course of a week, participants will gain a basic and in-depth understanding of financial, cash and liquidity management, and risk management.

 

This ECTS-accredited course is run in collaboration with the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.

For students

Study@VDT Treasury Days

These events offer students practical insights into topics, challenges and career paths in corporate treasury. Organised by the Association of German Treasurers, they complement university teaching by providing practical input. The format is agreed on a case-by-case basis and usually comprises one or two double lessons (90 minutes each) on starting a career, as well as topics such as cash and liquidity management, currency management and financing.
