Professional profile & qualification department
The Professional Profile & Qualification department is primarily concerned with the sustainable promotion of young talent in the treasury sector and thus makes an important contribution to securing the future of the profession. A central focus is on the development and expansion of a targeted training and seminar programme that prepares both newcomers and young talents for a career in treasury and is also aimed at experienced professionals.
The department is also committed to raising the profile of the treasurer profession in Germany and communicating its relevance in business and society.
Through targeted public relations work and co-operation with universities, companies and industry associations, the department helps to position treasury as an attractive and future-oriented professional field.
We define the treasury functions and set standards for the treasurer's job description - both within companies and in the public perception.
The team of the Professional Profile & Qualification department is made up of experienced treasurers with a wide range of practical knowledge and is supplemented by the specific know-how of supporting members and the specialist expertise of experienced professors from various German universities.

Prof Dr Franziska Kahla
Our training programmes are a key contribution to the professional development of our members. The seminars bring together the latest expertise, create practical skills and promote dialogue within the industry. In this way, we ensure that our members can confidently meet the demands of a dynamic working environment.
Prof Dr Franziska Kahla has been a member of the Executive Committee since November 2025 and is responsible for managing the Job Profile & Qualification department. She also heads the Northern Regional Group and is responsible for organising the regional meetings. From October 2022 to November 2025, she was a member of the VDT Executive Board and an active member of the B&Q department.
