Since its foundation in 1997, VDT e.V. has become the leading professional association for corporate treasury in the German-speaking world and operates in accordance with the guiding principle ‘by treasurers, for treasurers’. The association currently counts finance managers from almost 900 companies amongst its Members and thus accounts for a turnover of approximately 2 trillion euros. The association’s aim is to align its objectives closely with the needs of its members. The VDT e.V. offers its members a platform for exchanging experiences, monitors trends and developments, prepares relevant topics for knowledge-sharing and disseminates them within the community.

In order to promote the association’s themes and areas of expertise within the community, the German association of Corporate Treasurer organises the following for its members Conferences, Online events, Regional meeting and Workshops. In addition, topic-specific ‘best practice’ approaches, statements, Position papers and Newsletter published.

VDT e.V. sees itself as a training organisation and advocacy body that acts as a strong, reliable and expert partner to its members – including large corporations, medium-sized enterprises, banks, consultants, system providers, as well as audit firms and law firms – on an ongoing basis. The scope, number, size and diversity of these companies ensure the association’s leading position in the business world.
