In our latest podcast episode, we take a closer look at the recently published VDT guidelines "Treasury and ESG". With my discussion partners today, Jutta Demant and Prof Dr Heinrich Degenhart, who were both involved in the working group that produced the guidelines, we talk about what prompted the association to draw up these guidelines and which companies will find this publication interesting.

But that's not all: the VDT would like to continue supporting its members in the implementation of ESG reporting in treasury. At the moment, the association is focussing on reporting between companies, banks and investors. Coordination talks are already underway between the VDT and the banking and insurance associations. The aim is to harmonise the content and structures of the data requirements as simply as possible. We are also preparing further training measures on the topic of ESG reporting from a treasury perspective.

Jutta Demant is head of treasury and insurance at the chemical park operator Currenta and has been a member of the VDT and the Cash & Liquidity department for more than a decade.

Prof Degenhart is a member of the VDT Executive Committee. His main occupation is researching sustainability and renewable energies as a professor of finance and financial economics.
