The VDT Treasury® Mentoring provides targeted support to young professionals in treasury aged 35 and under in their professional and personal development. The programme focuses on structured dialogue with experienced treasury experts, who share their many years of practical experience, offer guidance and support participants’ individual career development. The programme promotes the transfer of knowledge within the treasury community and helps participants build valuable professional networks.

Mentees benefit from personalised feedback, support in setting goals, and practical insights into various treasury topics and career paths. The VDT Treasury® Mentoring programme is based on a flexible tandem approach, which is organised independently by the participants. Following application, registration and matching, the mentor and mentee typically work together over a period of up to twelve months, holding regular meetings. In addition, the Association of German Treasurers provides organisational support for the programme and offers further opportunities for discussion and networking.

The VDT Treasury® Mentoring scheme thus makes an important contribution to fostering the next generation of treasury professionals and to the sustainable development of specialist skills in corporate treasury.
