A sublimit is defined as a different upper limit within an insurance policy for a → Sum insured.
For example, in personal liability insurance, the → Sum insured be insured for property damage up to 10 million euros, but the damage to rented property covered under the policy is limited to a sublimit of 100,000 euros.
