The Study@VDT Treasury Days are a practical programme run by the Association of German Treasurers (VDT) that provides university students with an insight into the world of corporate treasury. The aim of these events is to present current developments, key challenges and career prospects in treasury in a practical and accessible way. In doing so, the programme complements the academic curriculum by providing direct experience of corporate practice.
The Study@VDT Treasury Days are led by experienced treasury practitioners and usually last one to two double lessons. The content of the events ranges from topics such as cash management, liquidity planning, FX management and financing management to interactive workshops and case studies on starting a career in treasury. Topics such as diversity and career development, for example ‘Power Women in Financial Management’, are also part of the programme.
Through the Study@VDT Treasury Days, the VDT promotes dialogue between universities and the professional world and supports students as they enter the world of treasury and finance.
