A mutual insurance association (VVaG) is one of the legal forms permitted in Germany, Liechtenstein and Austria for a → Insurer. The → policyholder are members and sponsors of the association. In exceptional cases, mutual insurance associations may also conclude individual contracts in which the à policyholder does not become a member (insurance for non-members).
