Supply risk The procurement-side risk in a company's purchasing that results from supply bottlenecks based on the market supply or suppliers. In the case of raw materials, such a situation is usually found in the spot market or for special qualities. In particular, the war in Ukraine and the associated sanctions against Russia have meant that existing contracts can no longer be fulfilled. There is also a risk that raw materials will not be available in the usual quantities.
