Every business has incoming and outgoing payments, bank accounts and, where applicable, loan agreements. In many small and medium-sized companies, the managing director themselves, or staff from the accounts or financial control departments, usually take on the associated administrative tasks. Within the finance department, treasury is usually the last area to be staffed by a full-time role.
