Markus Liberopoulos, a business administration student at Nuremberg Tech (Georg Simon Ohm University of Applied Sciences), talks in this podcast about his experiences at the VDT Summer School Treasury^®. His interest in treasury management was sparked some time ago, and his participation in last year’s summer school further deepened that interest. Markus Liberopoulos offers an insight into the application process, shares his experiences and describes the varied programme, which combines theory, practical application and excursions.

The lectures, particularly those given by Prof. Dr Degenhart, helped him to deepen his knowledge of treasury. The summer school expanded his professional network, facilitated in-depth discussions and even helped him prepare his job applications.

Although he has yet to put what he has learnt into practice in the treasury department, Markus Liberopoulos values the knowledge he has gained and is looking forward to applying it during his work placement, which begins in mid-March. The summer school helped him to set clear career goals and to decide to undertake his work placement in the treasury department. In conclusion, Markus strongly recommends that potential participants take part in the VDT Treasury Summer School, as it provides in-depth insight into treasury, broadens one’s horizons and offers the opportunity to make valuable contacts.
