With more than 20,000 ratings and over 1,500 analysts, Fitch has offices in 39 locations across all continents.  The agency, which is based in New York and London, traces its origins back to 1913. Fitch developed the rating scale (AAA to D) still in use today and later introduced the +/– supplementary information. The Fitch Group is now wholly owned by the US media group Hearst Corporation.
