The Assistant Manager Treasury is responsible for managing and optimizing the company’s treasury operations, including cash and liquidity management, financial risk assessment, and investment strategies. This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to manage complex financial transactions, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. The Assistant Manager Treasury will support strategic treasury initiatives and serve as a mentor for junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:
- Cash & Liquidity Management: Perform cash forecasts, monitor liquidity positions, and optimize cash flows. Execute daily cash management tasks, including conducting bank reconciliations, managing cash positions, and facilitating fund transfers.
- Financial Risk Management: Assist in developing and executing strategies to manage foreign exchange, interest rate, and credit risks. Support centralized FX management, including performance of FX trading for subsidiaries & affiliates.
- Banking & Relationship Management: Maintain and enhance relationships with financial institutions, oversee banking partners, manage bank accounts, and negotiate terms to optimize banking services.
- Investment & Funding Management: Support short-term investment decisions aligned with corporate policy. Assist in managing credit facilities, and intercompany financing.
- Payments & Treasury Operations: Ensure accurate and timely execution of treasury transactions, including FX Spot, and money market instruments. Set up coordination, alignment, and communication of the monthly car invoice payment plan.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to treasury policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls while preparing key treasury reports. Support compliance efforts by ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements concerning treasury operations, including KYC, fraud prevention, credit risk monitoring, and documentation for K-Sox and ICFR matrix review.
- Subsidiary & Export/Import Support: Provide treasury-related assistance to subsidiaries and act as a backup for the Export/Import Team.
- Training & Development: Support the Treasury Manager in training junior team members and subsidiaries on best practices in treasury operations.
- Market Research & Analysis: Monitor and analyse financial markets and economic trends to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Policy & Procedure Development: Contribute to the creation and maintenance of policies and procedures to ensure appropriate levels of Treasury control and oversight.
- Strategic Planning & Budgeting: Support the manager with the setup of the annual liquidity and net interest income business plan.
- Project Participation: Engage in various projects such as Digitalization, E-commerce, and SAP Innovations.
- Ad Hoc Requests & Analysis: Support management with special projects, data analysis, and urgent treasury-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Treasury, Banking, or Corporate Finance.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in cash management, FX trading, financial instruments, and ERP systems (SAP preferred). Experience with Treasury Management Systems (TMS) is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
- Language Skills: Excellent English proficiency; German at least B2 level preferred.
- Certifications (Preferred): CFA (Level 1), CTP (Certified Treasury Professional), or equivalent is an advantage.
